CHICAGO — Surveillance video shows more than 40 shots being fired as at least three gunmen engaged in a shootout at a 7-Eleven near the Loop on Monday night. No injuries were reported in the incident, which played out at 560 West Grenshaw around 10:32 p.m. The store is just west of the Loop, lying between the West Loop and South Loop neighborhoods.

Chicago police responded to shots fired at the store after witnesses reported that the occupants of two cars were shooting at each other. Officers who responded to the scene found shell casings inside the store and near the gas pumps. An officer said some of the casings found in the lot came from a rifle.

Video provided to CWBChicago reveals that the men near the gas pumps aren’t the only ones who fired shots. A man inside the store opened the door and unloaded a hail of bullets at two of the other gunmen.

The man inside the store seemed to notice the SUV arriving. He dashed back to the entrance and quickly opened fire on it from the doorway. Shell casings are seen flying out of his pistol, one after another. Outside, two men from the SUV opened fire on a sedan parked on the other side of the lot. Exactly who fired the first shots is not clear.

After the shootout, both vehicles left the area, heading in different directions. Posted By Ghost
