Drake Announces ‘Certified Lover Boy’ Delay: ‘My Energy Has Been Dedicated to Recovery’

Drake’s highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, was scheduled to be released in January but he just announced the delay.

“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” the Toronto rapper wrote. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great, and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”

Drizzy added, “I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”

Drake is currently recovering from a leg injury that he didn’t disclose much information about. But he did post a picture wearing a leg brace and fans speculated that he did knee surgery to fix his ACL.

The forthcoming musical effort will feature his critically-acclaimed “Laugh Now, Cry Later” collaboration with Lil Durk and is expected to be shorter than 2018’s Scorpion.

Today is the day that the United States will transition the presidency from Donald Trump to Joseph Biden, now the 46th president. This inauguration is more significant than usual for one reason and her name is Kamala Harris.

Today, Kamala Harris was sworn into office as the country’s Vice President and it represents a lot of firsts for the United States. Kamala is now the first African-American, first female, and first Asian-American to fulfill this role for the U.S.

The Oakland, California native is the child of two immigrant parents- her mother came here from India and her dad, from Jamaica. Despite some of the struggles endured by first-generation American families, Kamala worked hard to further her education to make a difference for herself and her family.

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez Among Those Pardoned by Trump

While headlines focused on pardons from Donald Trump issued to Death Row Records supporter “Harry-O”, Lil Wayne and Kodak Black, another notable name in Hip-Hop received support from the outgoing president. Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez was also granted clemency.

Billboard highlights Perez received a full pardon for her role in a conspiracy to distribute narcotics, which she was convicted of over 25 years ago.

“Since her conviction, Ms. Perez has taken full accountability for her actions and has turned her life around,” the White House statement said. “She has been gainfully employed and has been an advocate for criminal justice reform in her community.”

President Biden Vows To Restart The Nation’s Fight Against COVID-19 On His First Day In Office

As Trump leaves office, so does the indifference to the COVID-19 pandemic faced by the entire nation and President Biden makes a vow to change the government’s response on his first day as POTUS.

As a part of the first wave of executive actions by Biden, all federal employees will be required to wear masks and make face coverings mandatory on federal property. Additionally and probably most importantly, the President will establish a new White House office to coordinate the coronavirus response and immediately stop the withdrawal of the United States from the World Health Organization, a process initially facilitated by former President Donald Trump.

SOURCE SPORTS: Phillip Rivers Retires From The NFL After 17 Seasons

After 17 seasons in the NFL, Phillip Rivers is calling it a career.

Rivers told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune on Tuesday that he is retiring from the NFL. He will make the official announcement on Wednesday.

Rivers, who wore No. 17 throughout his 17 seasons, played in 244 regular-season games, starting the final 240 of those without interruption. That streak is the second-longest ever by an NFL quarterback behind Brett Favre’s 297.

Overall, Rivers finishes his career ranked fifth all-time with 63,440 passing yards and 421 touchdown passes. Rivers has stated before once he retires he plans on coaching high school football.

9lokkNine Charged With Five Counts Of Attempted Murder In Orlando Gang Feud

A rival rap feud in Orlando, Florida has claimed several lives and now local rapper 9lokkNine is facing five counts of attempted murder for a string of connected shootings in the city last year.

According to AllHipHop, 9lokkNine, whose given name is Jacquavius Smith, is being accused by the FBI of being a part of the All Family No Friends Gang, who have been beefing with Hotboii, another Orlando rapper, and the 438 Gang.

State Attorney Monique Worrell was immediately called on to press charges against the 20-year-old Smith, who was allegedly involved in a gang war that claimed five lives; two teenagers and a three-year-old, who were all innocent bystanders.

The FBI announced a week after a shooting in October at Orlando’s Mall at Millennia that they were building a racketeering case against All Family No Friends Gang and the 438 Gang.

Its been a long fight but Donald Trump is finally out of office and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have officially been sworn into office during a historic ceremony.

Trump did not attend as previously announced, but Mike Pence and former Second Lady, Karen Pence were there.

Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as former First Ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton were also at the ceremony.

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, notably didn’t attend the ceremony for the first time in 44 years, but the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. They sent their well wishes from afar.

Following the deadly riots at Capitol Hill, anxiety and emotions were running high and there were talks to opt for a virtual Inauguration. But the show went on.

The star-studded event featured Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem and Jennifer Lopez serenading the crowd with a triumphant melody.

‘Worst Cooks In America’ Winner Charged With Murder Of 3-Year-Old Girl

Several news reports have confirmed that Ariel Robinson, the winner of Season 20 of Worst Cooks In America, has been charged in the death of a 3 year old girl.

Ariel and her husband Jerry Robinson have been charged with homicide by child abuse in South Carolina in the death of Victoria Rose Smith and are being held in the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.

Last Thursday, police responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive juvenile. According to the police report, multiple blunt force trauma injuries resulted in the girl’s death.

Robinson, who claimed to be a mother of five on the show, was the winner of the Food Network-based reality show in August. It has not been confirmed whether or not the child that she allegedly killed was of any relation to her.

President Biden to Sign 17 Executive Orders on First Day in Office

Now that Joe Biden is President of the United States, the work is underway. CNN reports the initial actions of Biden’s term will be 17 executive actions during his first hours in office.

Those actions include the stopping of the construction of Trump’s border wall, reversing the Muslim country travel, rejoining the Paris climate accord, and halting the United States from leaving the World Health Organization.

Fredo Santana’s Protégé Baby CEO Dead at 20

According to a confirmed report from The New York Post, Memphis, Tennessee rapper Baby CEO, protegé to fallen Chicago artist Fredo Santana, passed away as reported by MyMixtapez on its social media last night. CEO was only 20 years old.

No cause of death has been confirmed for Baby CEO, whose real name is Jonathan Brown, and according to the Post, his death has yet to be confirmed.

Brown’s death comes exactly three years to the date of Savage Records’ Santana’s death, which was attributed to a seizure at the age of 27 in 2018.

Baby CEO first made headlines when he was just 14 years old when what was described as a “disturbing video” started circulating on social media. CEO was featured pointing guns and rapping about drugs, gang signs, and dreams of fame in his explicit lyrics.
