A Space For Creators: The New Home For Uninterrupted, Black ...

Sharp-witted, original, and dramatic web series are making their mark in entertainment. Through mini-episodes, loyal readers like you get acquainted to the daily lives of influencers, artists, and every day people across all cultures. From the screen, readers witness breakups and makeups to those breaking bread and hustling to stay fly in the city. Simply, Bossip has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to gossip and discovering fresh and funny content. We have even been expanding our own presence with fresh exclusive series like the hilarious Auntie’s Advice to season 1 of Charli Knows Best, Bossip knows good storytelling. Case closed.

While on the lookout we discovered that there is a brand new and dynamic roster of storytellers who will not compromise their creativity, sort of like us. Talent scouts agree that the distance between their indie projects and high profile creative roles in Hollywood is a platform that puts their content in front of the right audience.

Our parent company, iONE Digital, got news about the demand for compelling stories that provoke thought, explore social and racial issues, while giving an inside look at diverse multicultural lifestyles. Today, they are introducing the company’s new immersive video destination, A Space For Creators. This free video streaming platform is shattering glass ceilings by championing authentic voices from within the culture who are hustling to craft unique stories that they can present without censorship.

We have some hot new content to binge on our phones and tablets! In fact, the Bossip team was drawn immediately to Creators of Color, a series showcasing conversations with celebrity talent across various genres about their careers. In episode 1, we gain insight into actress Tiffany Haddish’s rise to fame and why being a person of color has made her an asset in the business.

“Being a person of color has positively impacted a lot of things in my career. I have booked roles in movies that were meant for white women but because I came through with so much character, and personality they ended up making it a black role.” -Tiffany Haddish

The comedy that exists in everyday tends to be where we live, so we are also checking for Giving Me Life (In the Land of the Deadass).

This series was written, produced and directed by Dafina Roberts and chronicles the experience of six young Black and Latinx friends navigating the wild ups and downs of life and love in New York City. We reached out to Dafina to get a sense of how she approaches creating.

Regarding the genesis of Giving Me Life (In the Land of the Deadass), Dafina Roberts shares:

“Giving Me Life was born from the real-life shenanigans of me and my friends. There is no show out right now that truly shows the breath-and-depth of sexuality for millennials of color. The series came out of the yearning to see ourselves and our communities in all our beauty and our struggle.”

Roberts also shared how she felt about having her stories being featured on a platform geared towards multicultural audiences:

I’m ecstatic about being a part of A Space for Creators! As the politics of race, gender, sexuality and class shift in our society, I think millennials of color are looking for narratives that explore these issues in smart and funny ways. I think that Giving Me Life delivers on that!

Find your binge-worthy favorites and tell us what you want to see more of… it just might be the next series to launch!

Drake Meticulously Trolled The Milwaukee Bucks Owner’s ...

Drake Trades Jabs With The Daughter Of Milwaukee Bucks Owner
If Drake is serious about anything, it’s the Toronto Raptors–but he still finds a way to have fun with the people praying on the downfall of his hometown team.

The rapper’s issues with the Bucks have been a long time coming with their head coach, Mike Budenholzer, calling him out for his court-side behavior earlier this week. But beyond the small jabs from the NBA team toward Drizzy, one person in the organization decided to take things to a whole new level.

Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens, wore a t-shirt with Pusha T on it to the Raptors game on Thursday. This was obviously a ploy to get a rise out of Drake, who had an extremely public feud against Pusha this time last year.

Unsurprisingly, the Toronto native didn’t let this trolling faze him, and instead, he responded with some pretty calculated trolls of his own.

Drake changed his IG profile picture to Mallory Edens and put her on his story.

ELITE TROLLING. pic.twitter.com/QOYV1q9jSh

— Complex Sports (@ComplexSports) May 24, 2019

Not only did Drake follow Edens on IG, but he even changed his profile photo to a picture of her. Following that, he posted the picture of Mallory wearing her Pusha T shirt onto his Instagram story with the caption, “All is fair in war and war and trust me I’ll still get your tickets to ovo fest” along with a heart eyes emoji, of course. Classic Aubrey.

Drake has even more reason to celebrate as The Raptors ended up wining Game 5 against the Bucks and are headed back to Toronto for Game 6–so we can probably expect even more antics from the rapper in the next few days.

“I love Toronto, I love this team and we're going to the NBA Finals.”

5 years and 4 kids life couldn’t be better! *anniversary coming so soon*

The pictures are stunning right?

View this post on Instagram

This was my wedding day almost 5 years ago in Italy. We flew in from Paris and our glam was rushed as we were trying to make it on time! We barely got my veil in as I was being pushed out the door so fast to walk down the aisle because Andrea Bocelli had started singing and I couldn’t miss it. I had no idea it was really him until I got to the isle and screamed inside! So many amazing memories.

Do you think the fans truly appreciate these or should KimYe keep more things sacred and to themselves?

Kim and Kanye have been through so much — they’ve survived her armed robbery, his mental illness issues, four kids and countless episodes of KUWTK, as well as the birth of multiple brands between the two of them.

Speaking of which — this year’s wedding anniversary also falls on the release date of her newest makeup drop — the Mrs. West Collection.

My new @kkwbeauty Mrs. West Collection features a 6-pan eyeshadow palette, a pink nude lipstick, a warm nude lip liner, a blushing nude gloss, a champagne gold highlighter and a mid-tone pink blush all for $100. Fetty Wap Headed To Court Next Month For $242K Debt & ...

Shawna Morgan Said Fetty Wap Owes Her More Than $242,000; Nearly Ruined Her Reputation
Fetty Wap’s one time tour employee has accused the rapper of stiffing her out of nearly $242,703 and then trash talking her in the press.

The “679” artist will head to a New Jersey court next month for a suit from ex-employee Shawna Morris, who sued him for breach of contract and defamation, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.

Morgan said she worked for Fetty and his company “Fetty Wap Touring,” and in exchange, the rapper agreed to pay her between five and ten percent of his performance profits. She said she often had to shell out her own money up front for tour-related expenses, but Fetty would reimburse her. But she said by early 2017, Fetty’s payments became delayed before stopping altogether, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. In total, she said Fetty owes her $242,703.

But the woman said the straw that broke the camel’s back was when Fetty made several public claims against her, including that she’d stolen money from him and had been double dipping – charging Fetty’s company as well as clients. She said Fetty’s alleged falsehoods damaged her rep and work prospects.

Fetty didn’t initially respond to the case, so a judge ruled in Morgan’s favor by default. Fetty managed to get the case reinstated, and then both sides went to arbitration. But when the arbitrators later ruled that Fetty and his company pay Morgan $160,000, Fetty asked for the case to head back to trial, which is now set to start June 11.

We reached out to lawyers for both Morgan and Fetty Wap for comment.
